Abstract
The article presents an original test stand for the analysis of combustion products, utilizing spectrophotometric analysis to identify the material being burned. The authors conducted a theoretical analysis concerning spectrophotometric studies based on the use of the light attenuation parameter in various media and presented preliminary results from tests performed on the designed stand. The article includes a summary presentation of the results of light attenuation measurements and other parameters calculated from the obtained data. Additionally, they discussed potential methods and benefits of implementing this approach in Fire Alarm Systems (FAS), as a method to increase the effectiveness of FAS and the safety of emergency services.
